“May the New Year bring you blessings of love, joy, health, peace and prosperity.”
We are off and running at the start of a new year. Welcome 2025!
Some have started to put away the decorations from Christmas and others will start in the next couple of days. Bowl games and playoffs are underway and regular television shows will return in the next few days. Everywhere you turn someone is talking about your new year’s resolutions: What do you want to change? What do you want to do during the year? etc.
Before all signs of Christmas have disappeared, you return to your regular schedule of day in and day out events and you forget about 2024 – I would like to suggest that you spend a couple of minutes (more is acceptable also) thinking about what you did in 2024 … what did you see … who did you meet … what memories did you make with friends and family … where did God speak to you and walk with you? These experiences are part of you and who you have become. These moments are minutes and hours you exchanged your life for and cannot repeat.
I hope that you will remember these cherished moments and experiences … imbed them deeply in your consciousness … recall them often and recall them especially when life becomes difficult in the future. Your life is richer than you may realize and leaving it as a distant memory that is never recalled again is to rob yourself of the beauty of life itself.
I pray you leave 2024 with memories of great and wonderful times, knowledge of the talents and strengths you have gained through out your years and a knowledge that God walked with you in 2024 and will continue to do so in 2025.
Blessings, Rev. Gloria
